AZEDEL ECOM LLC ("we", "us") is the data controller for personal data collected through covywear.com. We are committed to handling your personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

3.1 What we collect

You give us:

  • Name, email address, telephone number
  • Delivery and billing address
  • Order history and correspondence with us
  • Marketing preferences

Collected automatically:

  • IP address, device type, browser, operating system
  • Pages viewed, referring source, time on site
  • Cookie and pixel identifiers (see the Cookie Policy)

From third parties:

  • Payment confirmation and fraud signals from our payment providers (we never receive your full card number)
  • Aggregated advertising and analytics data from Meta, TikTok and Snap

We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and we do not collect special category data (health, biometric, religious or similar). Please do not send us health information about yourself; if you have a medical question about wearing compression clothing, speak to a healthcare professional.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have assessed that our interest in running and protecting our business does not override your rights and freedoms.

3.3 Who we share it with

  • Payment providers — to take payment and prevent fraud
  • Shopify — our e-commerce platform and hosting provider
  • Our fulfilment partner and its manufacturing facility in China — name and delivery address only, to pack and dispatch your order
  • Carriers — to deliver your parcel and provide tracking
  • Email and SMS platforms — to send you communications you have agreed to receive
  • Advertising and analytics platforms (Meta, TikTok, Snap, Google) — where you have consented to advertising cookies
  • Professional advisers and authorities — where legally required

We do not sell your personal data.

3.4 International transfers

Your data is transferred outside the UK, including to the United States (where we are established and where several of our service providers operate) and to China (our fulfilment partner). Where we do this we rely on one of the following safeguards:

  • UK adequacy regulations, where they apply to the destination country
  • The International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses
  • The UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, where the recipient is certified

3.5 How long we keep it

  • Order and transaction records: 6 years from the end of the relevant tax year
  • Customer service correspondence: 3 years
  • Marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe, then a suppression record indefinitely so we do not contact you again
  • Cookie and analytics data: as set out in the Cookie Policy

3.6 Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Be informed about how we use your data
  • Access a copy of your data
  • Have inaccurate data corrected
  • Have your data erased in certain circumstances
  • Restrict how we process your data
  • Data portability
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal

Complaints. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk, or 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to address your concerns first.

3.7 Security

We use TLS encryption in transit, restrict access to personal data to those who need it, and rely on providers who maintain appropriate technical and organisational measures. No transmission over the internet is completely secure; where a breach is likely to result in a risk to your rights, we will notify the ICO within 72 hours and you where required.
